Omnar NK35-25
The Omnar NK35-25 is a rangefinder coupled, m-mount, 35mm f/2.5 lens.
Based on the W Nikkor 35mm f/2.5, we are able to convert the original amphibious Nikonos lens by extracting just the optical units and iris and rehousing them into the Omnar lens platform.

The original optical block and iris are extracted from the Nikonos W Nikkor 35mm f/2.5 and rehoused in the Omnar platform. The process removes the optical flat that was originally part of the water-proofing. This improves the already excellent performance of the original amphibious design.
Sample Images
The sample images to were taken with the Leica M11 and Sony A7Riii. The letter box, large iron cog and oily machine were all taken with the Sony, the rest with the M11. As you might expect, the performance of this lens is better into the corners on Leica cameras, but even on the Sony it makes for a very impressive and very compact 35mm f/2.5 lens

Lens has been expertly converted using an all-brass helicoid NK35-25 Omnar lens body, which is custom-made for these Nikonos lenses. The lens can focus down to 0.35m MFD, and is RF coupled from 0.65m thru Infinity.
The finish on this lens is Black Matte Chrome (to match Leica M Black Chrome cameras like M10P, M Monochrom, M6). The lens has a medium/dampened focus feel and is a pleasure to use on both film and digital rangefinder cameras.
The optics are in a very good/excellent condition and are scratch, fungus and haze free. Do note, as in most of our conversions, the optics are being re-used and re-purposed from their original housings into our new mechanical bodies. We strive to get the best optical specimens of each lens for these types of conversions. Still, since these lenses date back to the 1960’s, there may be some micro marks or tiny dust specks that we can’t fully remove when servicing and converting the lenses.
